A Memorable Farewell: Our Last Day in London

Our final day in London greeted us with wonderful, sunny weather, an uplifting start to the day. With our bags packed and ready at the hostel, we set off to witness the iconic Changing of the Guard. However, due to the celebrations for the 80th anniversary of Victory Day, the parade was postponed to the following day, leading us to a spontaneous new plan: an improvised walk from Buckingham Palace to Westminster.

As we strolled through the city, we marveled at several notable sights, including Pall Mall, Trafalgar Square, the Horse Guard Barracks, and the poignant Second World War memorials. We passed by Whitehall and Downing Street 10, finally reaching the majestic Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, each one adding to the day’s memorable experience.

After our leisurely walk, we took a break for lunch and some free time before visiting the magnificent Natural History Museum. The exhibitions, especially the animated dinosaurs, were a highlight of our trip, captivating our imaginations and providing a sense of wonder.

Once we retrieved our stored luggage from the hostel, we hopped on the Piccadilly Line, heading towards Heathrow Airport, Terminal 5. Now, as we sit in the airplane, we reflect on the unforgettable moments we shared in London. A heartfelt thank you to all our colleagues, parents and fellow travelers for their tremendous support throughout this journey. Until our next adventure, we carry these cherished memories with us. God save the King.
